10 Days Xinjiang Travel Itinerary: Kanas, Turpan & Urumqi

Today you will catch the flight to Urumqi. We will meet you at the airport and take you to  check in the hotel. Afterwards, you can have a good rest in the hotel and enjoy your leisure time in Urumqi downtown.

Today you will enjoy the tour of the picturesque Heavenly Lake (approximately 1.5hrs), 2000m up in the Tianshan mountain range. which is surrounded by the snow mountains, blooming wildflowers, evergreen pine trees. 40-minute scenic shuttle bus ride that twists though the dramatic mountains. Then you can either walk to the lakeside in 10mins or take the electronic cart. There are 3 options suggested. Boating cruise to take the incredible view of Tianshan Mountain. Trekking along the lake in the fresh air. or you can explore further to the Maya Mountain by the cable car to enjoy the magnificent view of the Mountains.

After the visiting, we will continue the journey to Kuitun, Upon arrival, transfer to the downtown hotel for overnight stay.

After having a delighted breakfast at the hotel, then travel to the Urho Ghost City, also known as Wuerhe Wind City", a unique wind-eroded geological area commonly referred to as "wind city" because of the frequent howling winds.

Thereafter, you will be transferred to Burqin for overnight stay. In the evening, you can walk around the street in Burqin, enjoy your leisure time and tasty snacks. And we will spend the night in Burqin.

Your guide and driver will pick you up in the morning, and then drive along the mountain road to Kanas Nature Reserve, China's only European-like ecological site that has been awarded the title of the "Pure Land of the World" due to its unspoiled natural scenery. En-route, visit Kanas Lake. Upon arrival change the shuttle bus to the inside of the Reserve to enjoy the beautiful scenery, head to the Fish Pavilion, enjoy a view of Kanas. Later afternoon back to Jiadengyu district to check into the hotel. Dinner and rest.

In the morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Then we will travel to the most beautiful Tuva village Hemu, which is the one of the famous Tuvas village. Arrive at the entrance of Hemu, we still have to change the shuttle bus to the village. Here we would like to suggest you leave your big luggage in our coach and take your must stuff.

tranquil village, herds of cattle and sheep, warm and hospitable locals, What a beautiful and mysterious place! if you want to explore the life of Tuva people, they will very welcome you to visit their family.

Enjoy the fresh air in Hemu. If you are interested, you can go to the platform to see the sunrise and have a bird’s eye view of the whole Village.  

Then we will transfer to visit the Five colored Beach, Walk into the colorful Beach, you will feel as if in a dream world. The unique lava landscape consisted of purplish red, vandyke red, yellow and light green mudstone, sandstone and gravel. this is the most beautiful colorful Beach, masterpiece of nature, and miracle of Burqin.

Tonight we will stay at the hotel in Fuhai

Today we will transfer to Keketuohai along the highway. On the way, we can enjoy the stunning views of Ulungur Lake, It is an ideal home of migratory birds, famous for its abundance of fish. This Wetland park is vast in territory, rich in aquatic products, with the valuable wetland resources,the ecological system is typical,uniqueness and diversity. 

Continue the trip to Keketuohai, then we head to the Keketuohai National Geological Park. On the way there, you can enjoy the beautiful Kekesuli, one of the main components of the Keketuohai scenic area, is a naturally formed marsh. In the geological park you will see "Haizi Kou" and explore the Tunnel of Mine No 3, which comprises of many types of minerals. Take a tram ride and travel along Irtysh Grand Canyon till you reach Shenzhong Mountain and visit the "Earthquake Museum". 

Today after breakfast, we will take a 6-7 hours’ driving back to Urumqi. After arriving, we will check into the hotel first, then our guide and driver will show you around the Urumqi city, you can shop freely, if you want to buy some special products for your family and friends; or just explore the cultural customs of Urumqi.

Today we will drive 3hrs to visit the oldest Uyghur village Tuyoq Village located in the very center of Flaming Mountain Canyon. It used to be the holy site of Buddhism and Islam. The village consists of four parts: Canyon scenery, Thousand Buddha Caves, Maza tomb and the old buildings of the ancient village.

Then you will pay a visit to Karez Well, A special irrigation system that the locals make full use of the topography of Turpan to draw the underground water to irrigate their farmland ingeniously. The tour today end up to enjoy the scenery of Jiaohe Ruins with a history of 2,300 years lies between two rivers on a loess plateau atop a cliff of over 30m. It is one of the best preserved ruins of its ancient era in China, it was include in the World Heritage List on June 22, 2014. After visiting, transfer to Urumqi
