Welcome to Altay. Today, you'll join fellow cyclists in Altay City, where you'll spend the night at a comfortable hotel. Whether you arrive by train or plane, your adventure begins here. After settling in, you'll apply for your border pass, followed by a delightful group dinner and a pre-trip briefing to get you ready for the journey Altay-Hemu. If you arrive early, why not take a leisurely stroll through Altay City? Discover the serene White Birch Forest Park, where peaceful walking paths might even lead you to spot a meteorite or two.  

An amazing day starts with a hearty breakfast. After that, you'll leave Altay City and transfer to the stunning Altay-Hemu Highway for your first cycling leg—a 50 km ride through some of the most breathtaking landscapes the Altay Mountains have to offer. This newly opened route, which became an instant hit in late 2024, is a hidden gem featuring forests, canyons, grasslands, and lakes. Autumn here is particularly magical! You'll enjoy a packed lunch along the way before arriving at the picturesque Tuolehaite Grassland, where you'll spend the night.  

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before hopping back on your bike for a shorter, 30 km ride to the enchanting Hemu Village. You'll arrive early, giving you plenty of time to relax and explore. Don't miss the chance to hike up to the Haden Platform for a panoramic view of Hemu Village nestled among the mountains. As the sun sets and the stars emerge, you'll feel like you've stepped into a dream. Make a wish—this is a place where magic feels real.

After witnessing a breathtaking sunrise from the Hemu observation deck and enjoying breakfast, you'll transfer by vehicle to the legendary Kanas, often referred to as "God's Garden". Here, you can take a boat ride to experience the crystal-clear waters of Kanas Lake up close or hike up to the Fish Viewing Pavilion for a panoramic view of the lake's mesmerizing beauty. Explore the famous Three Bays—Fairy Bay, Dragon Bay, and Moon Bay—and capture memories that will last a lifetime. Your day ends in Jiadengyu, where you'll rest for the night. 

Looking to escape the hustle and bustle? Today's biking will satisfy you. After breakfast, you'll set off from Jiadengyu and cycle along the scenic Tiejia Highway to Tiereketi Township. This lesser-known mountain road winds through the Altay Mountains, offering stunning views of spruce forests, flower valleys, grazing livestock, yurts, and the unique Alatayi Strange Stone Forest. With few cars and even fewer people, this route is a cyclist's paradise. Enjoy a packed lunch along the way before arriving in Tiereketi Township, where you'll spend the night. 

Today's adventure begins with breakfast before you hit the road for a 100 km ride to Chonghu'er. To ensure your safety and enjoyment, we've chosen routes with minimal traffic, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the stunning scenery. Take your time, soak in the views, and enjoy a packed lunch along the way. Chonghu'er Town, once bustling, has become a quiet retreat since the construction of the highway, offering a peaceful end to your day.  

On your final day, you'll depart Chonghu'er Town for a challenging yet rewarding ride. The route includes both uphill and downhill sections, with a thrilling descent after reaching the mountain top. Arrive in Burqin for a well-deserved lunch before continuing your journey to Altay via the national highway. Celebrate the successful completion of your adventure with a festive farewell dinner in Altay.
