Apark Khoja Mazar Located about 5 kilometers to the northeast o Kashi City, the Apark Khoja Mazar is the mausoleum of Apark Khoja, head of the Baishan sect of Islam, and his family. The Mazar was built around 1670 A.D., rebuilt in 1956, and repaired by using financial allocation of the state in 1996. It consists of tomb halls, a doctrine-teaching hall, a great hall of prayer, a gate tower, a pond and an orchard, covering an area of 260 thousands of square meters. The tomb hall, with a dome-shaped top 17 meters in diameter, is 26 meters high and covered with green glazed tiles on outer walls. The great hall of prayer standing on the west side is painted beautiful. Now the Mazar is listed as a major cultural site under the autonomous protection.
Folklore says that an imperial concubine of Imperial Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty is buried here, who was called Xiangfei (Fragrant Imperial Concubine), so the Mazar is also called “Xiangfei Tomb”. According to textual research, “ Xiangfei ” is no other than Rongfei, who died in 1788 and buried in the East Tombs of Qing Dynasty in Zunhua County, Hebei Province.
