9 Days Kashgar and Kyrgyzstan Tour

Your guide will pick you up at Manas International Airport and accompany you to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, just a 30-minute drive from the airport. The first half of the day is dedicated to a guided Bishkek City Tour. The tour includes the visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic, and many others places of interest. After traditional lunch you will be transferred to Issyk Kul Lake. On route visiting of Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) and an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Issyk Kul Lake is the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". Your dinner and night is in a hotel.

In the morning you will have some free time to enjoy swimming in the lake. After it you will visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). They are called petroglyphs. These petroglyphs were made more than 2 000 years ago by shamans. All these stones are still at the same place as they were at that time. You can see a panorama view of the Issyk Kul Lake from this place – people were thinking that it was the middle of the world. After an excursion you will visit a museum in Cholpon Ata. There are many attractive things from the Kyrgyz history, handicraft, music instruments and a lot of other interesting artifacts. Then we will head towards Naryn town. On the way we will have a break in Kochkor village where you will spend some time with a family that will show you the way our national felt carpets are produced. You even can create your own carpet together with them. Also you will visit a small handicraft museum there. They have many examples of silver decorations, coats made of wolfs, horse saddle decorations, carpets and many other things. Night will be in a guesthouse.  

After very early breakfast you will be transferred to the Tash Rabat Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle from the 14th century). The building is unique. Tash Rabat is located at the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. Tash Rabat was built of stone blocks inside a mountain at an elevation of 3200 m above sea level. In total there are 31 rooms in the mountain. The walls are 1 m thick. There are also underground prison cells formerly used to incarcerate thieves in ancient times. After excursion you will head to Torugart border. We will meet you at the border and transfer you to the downtown to check in your hotel.

Morning Drive on the China and Pakistan highway to visit the Karakul Lake and enjoy the Pamir landscape. Then drive to Taxkorgan for rest. Karakul Lake is situated at an altitude of 3,600 m. It is the highest lake of the Pamir plateau, near the junction of the Pamir, Tien Shan and Kunlun Mountain ranges. Surrounded by mountains which remain snow-covered throughout the year, the three highest peaks visible from the lake are the Muztag Ata (7 546m), Kongur Tagh (7 649m) and Kongur Tiube (7 530 m). 

After breakfast visit Stone Fortress, and walk around the pastureland to see Local Tajiks customs. Afternoon, drive back to Kashgar for rest. Stone Fortress Located on a tableland northeast of the county seat of Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County, the covers an area of 100 thousands square meters and consists of ruins of city and temple of the Tang times and government office of the Qing Dynasty. A temple occupied the eastern part of the city. In the western and southeastern parts are found ruined houses. On the ruins of the temple the Pulitin Office of the Qing Dynasty was built. The city is oval in shape. The city walls were built with sun-dried bricks on stone foundation. It is 1285 meters in circumference outside.

Morning breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Kashgar. Upon arrival, tour at the Sunday Bazaar (livestock Market) with farmers and buyers arriving by donkey cart, truck, bicycle, horseback, motorbike or on foot, with their animals. It's loud, lively and cheerful as they arrive, eat breakfast, set up their animals and check out the action. Then we’ll visit the Apakh Hoja Tomb, which is the holiest place in Xinjiang and an architectural treasure. Afterwards, your guide and driver will take you to visit the Handicraft street, it gathered hundreds of handicraft workshops, which has become a boutique exhibition for handicraft in Kashgar and Central Asia. we will visit the Kashgar Old Town, to explore the special culture and life way of local people in Kashgar. Visit the Id Kah Mosque, It is the largest Mosque in China and most famous one in Xinjiang.

Today you will be transferred to the Irkeshtam, Your guide will meet you at the border and you will start driving to Osh via Sary Tash village.  The road will go along amazing mountains and high passes. On the way you will drive over a high mountain pass – Taldik. It is 3 615 meters high! You will never forget the amazing views of the road and mountains around it. In Osh you will go for a walk to visit the most famous place - Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) is situated in the center of the city. It is considered to be a pilgrimage place for local Muslims. According to the legend, biblical prophet Solomon (Suleiman in the Koran) was buried at the foot of it. Night is in a hotel. 

In the morning you will have a flight to Bishkek. After lunch we will visit Ala Archa gorge. It is a Natural Park. At the Soviet Time only V.I.P. people had permission to go for a walk here. The Ala Archa gorge is on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. It is just 45 km from Bishkek. You can have a short hiking tour to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Afterwards we return to Bishkek. Night is in a hotel.

In the morning is transfer to airport.
