Today your flight will touch down in Urumqi. We will meet you at the airport exit with a welcome board. Then a comfortable drive will send you to the local hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own. Rest up and get ready for tomorrow's adventure!
Today we will start our tour from driving 3hrs to visit the oldest Uighur village Tuyoq Village, located in the very center of Flaming Mountain Canyon. It used to be a holy site of Buddhism and Islam. The village consists of four parts: Canyon scenery, Thousand Buddha Caves, Maza tomb and the old buildings of the ancient village.
Then you will pay a visit to Karez Well, a special irrigation system that the locals make full use of the topography of Turpan to draw the underground water to irrigate their farmland ingeniously.
The tour today end up with enjoying the scenery of Jiaohe Ruins with a history of 2,300 years lying between two rivers on a loess plateau atop a cliff of over 30m. It is one of the best preserved ruins of its ancient era in China and was included in the World Heritage List on June 22, 2014.
After visiting, we will drive back to Urumqi for overnight stay.
Karez Well
Tuyoq VillageToday we will drive to the picturesque Heavenly Lake, which is surrounded by the snow mountains, blooming wildflowers and evergreen pine trees. Walking along the lake in the fresh air or you can explore further to the Maya Mountain by the cable car to enjoy the magnificent view of the Mountains.
Continue our trip to Fuhai, after about 5hrs driving, we will arrive at Ulungur Lake, and catch the stunning sunset of it if it's a sunny day. Take a walk barefoot on the soft beach, you can see ducks hide & seek in reeds and seagulls glide freely above the sky.
After the visiting, we will drive to Fuhai County for overnight stay. Have a good rest!
Ulungur Lake
Heavenly LakeAfter breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel. Then, drive along the mountain road to Kanas Nature Reserve. It is China's only European-like ecological site that has been awarded the title of the "Pure Land of the World" due to its unspoiled natural scenery.
En-route, visit Kanas Lake. Upon arrival, you will change the shuttle bus to the inside of the Reserve to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then head to the Fish Pavilion and enjoy a panoramic view of Kanas.
Later afternoon, we will back to Jiadengyu district to check into the hotel. Enjoy your dinner and have a good rest!
Kanas Lake
KanasArrangements for today make for the experience of a lifetime.
We will first drive to visit the most beautiful Tuwa village -- Hemu village, which is one of the famous Tuwa villages. Arriving at the entrance of Hemu, we still have to change the shuttle bus to the village. Here we would like to suggest you leave your big luggage in our coach and take your must stuff.
Tranquil village, herds of cattle and sheep, as well as warm and hospitable locals. What a beautiful and mysterious place! If you want to experience the life of Tuwa people, they will very welcome you to visit their family.
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Kanas for overnight stay.
Hemu Village
Hemu VillageToday we will still enjoy the scenery of Kanas Nature Reserve. It is the most beautiful mountain lake you have never seen. The lake takes on different colors following the four seasons of the year, sometimes it's crystal blue, sometimes it's dark green, or even gray.
Afternoon we will head to Burqin to enjoy the sunset of Five-colored Beach. Walking into the colorful Beach, you will feel as if in a dream world. The unique lava landscape consisted of purplish red, vandyke red, yellow and light green mudstone, sandstone and gravel. This is the most beautiful colorful Beach, masterpiece of nature, and miracle of Burqin.

Generally speaking Mid March—End Oct are the best time to visit Silk Road. And we strongly suggest you come in May, June, October to avoid the heat and crowd. No need to worry about high altitude along the Silk Road. We will prepare Oxygen bags if the package includes Xiahe, Qinghai Lake and Taxkorgan County.

1. 4 to 15 pax in a group (4 pax min, 15 pax max)
2. Typically we will take 600 USD per person as deposit when you book the trip (You can pay the deposit through WeChat/Alipay/bank transfer.)
3. Then the balance will be paid when you arrive. (Note: The balance needs to be paid 7 days before departure if your trip is just in the official Chinese holiday. E.g. Chinese New Year, Labor's Day, National Day)
