10 Days North Xinjiang Holiday to Kanas and Yining

Today you will catch the flight to Altay. We will meet you at the airport. Transfer to your hotel and check in. Have a good rest or enjoy your free time in this exotic city.

Today is the day, the start of your Xinjiang adventure. After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we'll drive about 4 hours to Hemu, a peaceful Tuva village nestled in a quiet valley in Kanas. The village is charmingly dotted with traditional Tuva wooden huts and livestock grazing in pens.

Hemu village is one of only three remaining Tuva villages and is both the largest and most remote. For this reason, many refer to the Tuvans as a "primitive tribe wandering in the depths of Xinjiang." During your time here, you'll have the opportunity to take part in several unique activities: you can explore the village on horseback or even ride in a horse-drawn plow, a rare sight in modern cities. For a truly breathtaking view, you can also take a hot air balloon ride to see the village from above. During winter, the temperature often drops to around -20°C. Don't miss the chance to pour a cup of water into the air and watch as it instantly freezes—it's a phenomenon you won't forget!

Today is another day in Hemu, you can leisurely walk around this tranquil village, and if you prefer, can experience skiing in Hemu Jikepulin Ski Resort. (skiing expenses will be on your own)

Your guide and driver will pick you up in the morning, and then drive along the mountain road to Kanas Nature Reserve, China's only European-like ecological site that has been awarded the title of the "Pure Land of the World" due to its unspoiled natural scenery. En-route, visit Kanas Lake. Upon arrival change the shuttle bus to the inside of the Reserve to enjoy the beautiful scenery, head to the Fish Pavilion, enjoy a view of Kanas. Later afternoon back to Jiadengyu district to check into the hotel. Dinner and rest.

Optional activities in Hemu (expense on your own): horse riding, horse drawn plow, ski wheel, hot air balloon, pour water into ice (be careful)...

Today we will still enjoy the scenery of Kanas Nature Reserve, It is the most beautiful mountain lake you have never seen. The lake takes on different colors following the four seasons of the year, sometimes it's crystal blue, sometimes it's dark green, or even gray. Afternoon we will head to Burqin for dinner, and have a good rest.

Enjoy the sunrise and after breakfast, travel along the Gurbantunggut Desert to the Urho Ghost City, one of the famous yardang landform in China, caused by strong howling wind and erosion. The various strange shapes formed by the wind erosion make you connect them with pagodas, temples, animals, etc.

Enjoy your breakfast the hotel, on the way travel to Anjihai Grand Canyon, which is called the paradise of the photographer. Anjihai River is originated in Tianshan Mountain, through many years of scouring, in the vicinity of Tungut, it was formed a huge alluvial fan under the Northern slope of Tianshan Mountain. The scale of the river valley alluvial fan is quite magnificent, to the north opening with umbrella-shaped, it can be called a geographical wonder. Then we will go to Yining, passing by Sayram Lake, which is known as the last drop of tears of the Atlantic. The largest alpine lake in Xinjiang. Stroll around the lake and enjoy the blooming wildflowers and the beautiful grassland around the lake.

Begin your day with a buffet at your hotel. After that, we will drive 4-5 hours to Nalati Grassland to immerse ourselves in its exotic scenery.

Also known as Gongnaisi grassland, which means "white yang slope" in Turkic, Nalati is one of the world's four major grasslands and has served as a famous pasture since ancient times. This sub-alpine meadow sits on the northern slope of Nalati Mountain, a unique landscape developed on Tertiary paleo-flood deposits. The spectacular combination of beautiful grassland scenery and rich local Kazakh folk customs consistently ranks it among the Top 10 tourist resorts in Xinjiang. Take a moment here to breathe the crisp, fresh air, soak in the vast beauty of the landscape, and let the peaceful surroundings fill you with a sense of wonder and tranquility.

After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Nalati Grassland, where vast alpine meadows stretch endlessly beneath majestic, snow-capped peaks. Begin your day by truly savoring the crisp mountain air and the serene, expansive beauty of the landscape.

Later, we will drive to Kurdening Valley, a hidden gem renowned for its dense spruce forests, crystal-clear rivers, and tranquil atmosphere. The drive takes 3 hours. Upon arrival, you can check in at your hotel and relax for the evening, fully immersed in this pristine natural setting.

Warming up your stomach by having a breakfast at your hotel, then soak up the crisp mountain air and spend a relaxing morning at your own pace in the Kurdening Valley, enveloped by lush greenery and peaceful natural scenery.

Afterward, we will travel for about three hours to Yining, a charming city renowned for its vibrant mix of cultures and pleasant atmosphere.

Upon arrival in Yining, we'll take a leisurely walk along Liuxing Street. Here, tree-lined avenues, fascinating Eurasian-style buildings, and local shops create a unique, vibrant yet laid-back vibe.

In the afternoon, we will escort you to the airport and assist with your check-in. We wish you all the best on your onward journey and will miss you!
