Itinerary

Day 1Qiongkusitai Arrival

Your tour begins the moment you land! Enjoy our complimentary airport transfer service at Yining Airport. After a warm welcome, we'll embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to the charming Qiongkusitai Village, your first stop. Check in, unwind, and savor a delicious dinner. Please ensure your flight arrives by 4:00 PM to join us smoothly.

Day 2Riding into the Valley Forest

Mount up and set off from Qiongkusitai Village, the starting point of the legendary Wusun Ancient Trail. As you ride deeper, the crowds thin, leaving only the breathtaking vast grasslands—a rare stretch where your horse can gallop freely! By noon, reach the riverside camp for lunch, then continue to the confluence of two rivers, a popular spot for hikers. But your tour pushes further—turn right and ascend through rocky terrain to your first campsite near the Bozhaodun Pass. As the sun sets, enjoy a hearty meal under the stars, surrounded by nature's tranquility.

Day 3Conquering the Kokesu Grand Canyon

Gear up for the challenge: crossing the rugged Bozhaodun Pass (3,600m)! The steep, rocky path may seem daunting, but trust your strong horse—or walk alongside for extra confidence. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Tianshan Mountains before descending into the awe-inspiring Kokesu Grand Canyon. Conquer thrilling valleys and dizzying slopes (a 1,000m drop!) to reach the canyon floor. After lunch, ride through mystical cliffs and ancient landscapes, then gallop freely along flat trails to the cable crossing (¥200/person). End the day by a riverside camp, fall asleep by the gentle murmur of water.

Day 4The Crown Jewel—Heavenly Lake

Excitement builds as you climb toward the crown jewel: Heavenly Lake. Traverse forests, valleys, and snow-capped peaks, But nothing compares to the lake's unrivalled beauty. Words fall short—here, green waters mirror towering cliffs, and all the hardships along the way are worth it. You have the choice to spend a full day soaking in this paradise: paddle a boat, bask in the breeze, or simply let the view be deeply engraved in your memory.

Day 5Crossing the Roof of Tianshan

Bid farewell to Heavenly Lake and ride to the iconic "Tiger's Mouth", where luck might gift you a glimpse of rare snow lotus. Then, brace yourself for the ultimate test: the 3,900m Akebulak Pass. This hard ascent demands courage, but conquering it marks a lifetime triumph! Descend into southern Xinjiang's stark beauty, where agile mountain goats greet you. Camp in the valley, savoring the triumph of the day.

Day 6Victory Ride to Kucha's Ancient Kingdom

The final horseback riding day is a celebration! Glide effortlessly across rivers that daunt hikers, earning their envy as your horse splashes through. Arrive at the ruins of Kucha, where the desert's blue rivers and weathered stones whisper tales of the Silk Road. Transfer to your hotel for a well-earned rest and farewell dinner.

Day 7Kuqa Departure

  • Weather and Clothing 

Large Temperature Difference Between Day and Night: Daytime temperatures range between 10-25°C, while nighttime temperatures drop below 10°C. In spring and autumn, daytime temperatures are 10-20°C, and nighttime temperatures are 5-10°C. In summer, daytime temperatures are 15-25°C, and nighttime temperatures are around 10°C.

Recommended Clothing: Due to strong sunlight during the day, it is advisable to wear long-sleeved shirts and pants and pay attention to sun protection. At night, temperatures are lower, so bring a jacket, especially if you are sensitive to the cold. Extra layers are recommended for those who feel chilly easily.Sun Protection Items: It is recommended to bring high-SPF sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, and a tube scarf (buff).

  •  Communication and Charging

Mobile Signal: Mobile signals are available in towns, supporting China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom. Some towns have 3G/4G coverage. However, during the horseback riding journey, some areas may have no signal, making it difficult to make calls or access the internet.

Charging: It is recommended to bring a power bank for charging your devices.

  •   Horseback Riding Information

Riding Experience: 60% of the participants have no prior horseback riding experience. Professional coaches and well-trained horses are provided. Regardless of your experience level, it is advised not to gallop at the beginning and to take time to familiarize yourself with your horse.

Group Riding: Depending on the riding speed and experience of the group, participants may be divided into a fast team and a slow team. Coaches will take care of everyone in both groups.

Children Riding: Children aged 7 and above who can ride independently may do so. Children aged 5-7 who can ride will require one-on-one guidance and protection. Children under 5 must ride with a staff member.

  •  Other Recommended Items

Luggage: Large luggage or suitcases can be placed on the logistics support vehicle. It is recommended to prepare a backpack for carrying personal items during the trip.

Rain Gear: Occasional showers may occur on the grassland, so it is advisable to bring a raincoat.

  •  Special Circumstances

Missed Airport Pickup: If you miss the scheduled airport pickup, you will need to arrange and pay for your own transportation to the destination. We can recommend local drivers familiar with the area.

Weather Impact: Horseback riding trips are greatly affected by weather conditions. In case of severe weather or force majeure, we will adjust the itinerary based on weather and road conditions. Your understanding is appreciated.

  •  Fees and Discounts

Non-Riding Family Members: Family members who do not ride can choose to travel by vehicle or stay with the logistics staff. They will be charged half the tour fee, but we do not provide accompanying services for sightseeing.

Children and Elderly: The fee for children and elderly participants is the same as for adults, as we need to allocate more time and effort to ensure their safety and comfort.

  •  Important Notes

Physical Requirements: The horseback riding trip requires a certain level of physical fitness. If you have any serious medical conditions, please inform us in advance.

Riding Safety: Regardless of your riding experience, it is recommended to avoid galloping at the beginning and to take time to get familiar with your horse. During the ride, coaches will divide the group based on riding speed and experience to ensure everyone's safety.
