I have arrived home safe and sound and wanted to let you know that we had a FANTASTIC time in Urumqi and Turpan, even though one of the ladies got ill. Shirhazat was amazing, so knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring.I would definitely recommend him as a guide to anyone traveling to Xinjiang. Thank you for arranging this holiday for me, I really enjoyed visiting Xinjiang and learning about the different people and places that make up this huge country that I live in. Thank-you also for your kind gift on arrival,it was real y thoughtful.

Thanks for the wonderful trip and abundant meal. And here are some writings for you. I contacted Lesley more than a year before going on the trip, we made plan and I have to postpone it, a year later I contacted her back again, she (but from my mistake, i thought Lesley was a man) still very helpful and responsive, I altered and adjust the plan few times, she was very helpful through out the processes. She is sincere and hearty, I would think the relationship is not business but friendship.Finally, I went on trip arranged by her, it was wonderful, many things she recommended turn out great. The staffs are nice, Aysha is nice, knowledgable, energetic and very professional. I'll sure have her arranges things for me again if I go around the area.

Having spent The last 3 days in Dehli under a heatwave 43 C, i am now sitting in the airport lounge, waiting for my flight to Amsterdam and then to Geneva, where weather is 14C!

I hope all is well with you.Many thanks for your good wishes. Hope that you also enjoyed a great mother's day yesterday.I am attaching our overdue feedback for our tours of Dunhuang and Tulufan. I have returned home after a very long trip on the silk road. All of us are very happy indeed with your kind services. The hotels and guides are excellent as well as delicious meals. The trip was well planned with your advice.
I will finish the book on Tang Xuan Zhang soon and hope it to be published soon. Of course I will mention your services in the book.

We finally arrived safely back in Malaysia. Had a wonderful trip. You are very professional and provide excellent service. Our guide was one of the best guide we have ever had. She was knowledgeable, informative and flexible. I am very pleased I have contracted CITIC Travel for organizing our tour which is very success. Hope you have a fruitful tourism season. We will contact you again for the next group in future.

The tour agency, CITIC international, was very efficient. All the reservations were done promptly and in accordance with our requests. The tour guide, Aysha was very efficient and took good care of us going beyond her call of duty to make us comfortable. The van was comfortable and the driver good. The tour program was well planned out and we were not pressed for time nor did we miss out on any attraction that was on our itinerary. 
We slept in peace with pleasant thoughts of getting back home the next day. We caught the flight from Wulumuchi to Beijing a 3.5 hour journey and then from Beijing to Singapore a 6 hour journey, with a frantic 2 hour transit in between.This was the end of a wonderful trip.

I really enjoyed my Silk Road Journey vacation arranged through Just The Ticket Travel in Changchun and Xinjiang CITIC Travel Agency in Urumqi. My guides were very professional and always took that extra step to ensure I had a good time. I had seen Xian before, so I started in Dunhuang and proceeded to Turpan, Urumqi and Kashgar. You can have your trip set up to begin and end just about anywhere in China, depending on your time requirements and general preferences. Don't miss Kashgar, though Here are some photos took by David.

Hotels All the hotels were fine with the possible exception of Kashgar where the place was quite run down. Maybe in Kashgar clients need to go up a category. 
Other meals Mostly the guides took us to places that they liked to eat - fairly small restaurants with interesting choices in food. This wasn't the case in Dünhuong where the guide just took us to big tourist restaurants where the food was OK but not very interesting. Of course we preferred the smaller more traditional places but I don't imagine you have much influence over that. Still maybe you can warn future clients to ask for tradition rather than tourist food!
Guides All three guides were good, spoke good English and took an interest in what we wanted to see. The best was the Turpan/Urumqi guy (his English name was Jacky) who sat in the back of the bus with us and told us Chinese legends and stories about the places we were seeing as well as more traditional tourist information. The Kashgar guide was less talkative but knew about what we were seeing, and gave us interesting information. He took us to less frequented places in Kashgar and found us really nice places to eat. I had a really marvellous day with him when I was alone on the Monday.
Tourist visits Of course some of them were more interesting than others - we loved the camel ride in the desert, and the Mogao caves in Dünhuong, but didn't think all the things in Turpan and Urumqi were so interesting. We liked the Urumqi museum, and also a visit to a grape farm and the visit to the ruined desert town whose name escapes me at the moment. The Sunday market in Kashgar is certainly amazing but we had more fun just wandering around the old town with our guide - but that's really not a very important comment - everyone likes different things and you did a great job of planning in order to get in as many of the important sites as possible.
