Siliconized Woods on General Gobi in Qitai County

Siliconized Woods on General Gobi in Qitai County The Grand Gobi is located in the southern part of the Jungar Basin in Qitai County. 

Within a range of 3.5 square kilometers there found thousands of tree fossils dated from more than a hundred million years ago. The tree fossils are on the ground, about 1000 trees per square kilometers, of which the longest reaches over 30 meters and the largest 2 meters in diameter. The structure and growth ring of them are clearly visible. So here may be rated as a world miracle.
